At tonight's AGM Brian Jarrett was elected President for the coming year.

Brian is a locally-based Commercial and Industrial photographer in his 34th year of business, carrying out assignments all around the UK and beyond for his clients. These include national and local government departments, internationally recognised major companies, banks, NGOs and public relations companies.
Born in Deri and a pupil at Lewis Boys Grammar School Brian learnt his trade at the Ealing School of Photography in West London.
He and his wife Jennifer have three grown-up children – all still living in the area – and four grand-children.
Brian’s links with Bargoed run deep; his mother was the manager of Johnsons the Cleaners, and his grandmother was an agent for the Emporium, where his mother-in-law worked in the fabrics department until her retirement.
Brian believes that a thriving and vibrant Bargoed town centre will be the key to prosperity throughout the upper Rhymney Valley, and is enthusiastic about Caerphilly Borough Council’s regeneration plans for the area. He has welcomed the news that a factory outlet has decided to move in to the former Woolworth’s premises and hopes that the long-awaited Morrisons development will soon be confirmed.
Dave Collins of Fooks and Co and Peter Collins of B Thomas Pet Shop remain as Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
Bargoed Chamber of Trade is fully committed to ensuring that Bargoed and the surrounding communities benefit from the opportunities that the regeneration scheme will bring.
Brian is pictured being presented with his chain of office by outgoing President Sean Murray.
